2011MY Nissan Murano Crossover gets Modest Facelift

In our previous post, we told you about the dealer presentation of the forthcoming two-door convertible version of the Murano. But that's not the only news we have about Nissan's crossover model as the Japanese carmaker just released details and photos of the refreshed 2011MY Murano for the North American markets.

new cars of,the cars new,new cars for,for new carsSimilarly to the recently updated version for Europe, the NA-spec model gains a more aggressive front fascia with a refreshed grille design (without the addition air slots though) and a more sculpted front bumper with different pockets around the fog-lamps, along with new tail lights and new 18-inch alloy wheel designs.

Interior improvements are limited to the white backlight for the instrument gauges, the introduction of new colors for the center stack and added content to various trim levels including driver's seat with power lumbar support (SV), RearView Monitor (SV), 7.0-inch color monitor (SV), auto dimming rearview mirror with compass and HomeLink Universal Transceiver (SL) and heated steering wheel (SL).

Other notable changes for 2011 include the introduction of two new models to the lineup, SV FWD and SV AWD, and the addition of a new exterior color, Graphite Blue, and a new wood grain hue on Murano LE models.

All Murano models are powered by 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with 260-horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The updated Murano is scheduled to go on sale in the States in mid-October with pricing to be announced within the next few weeks.
