The prototype vehicle seen in these scoop photos -courtesy of Bimmerpost- may very well be BMW's Frankfurt Show EfficientDynamics Vision concept that was announced last week by Klaus Draeger, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG. Even though at a first glimpse it appears to be a two-door model, judging by the center window line and the door cut-lines above the split side skirts, we'd say that its most likely a four-door coupe model.
If true, this contradicts earlier reports suggesting that BMW was working on a two-door, mid-engined "green" sports car. Still, it would be wiser to wait for an official announcement before we make any final conclusions as BMW may be readying two different concept cars for next month's Frankfurt gathering.
For the record, the Bavarian automaker said that the EfficientDynamics Vision "will demonstrate how efficient a sports car can be" and that "it will also prove that sustainability does not apply to the drive train alone, but to design and materials as well".
