Within a period of 5 to 10 years, Audi will offer vehicles with zero exhaust emissions according to the German carmaker’s Chairman of the Board, Rupert Stadler. In an interview published on Sunday, Stadler told German weekly newspaper, “Welt am Sonntag” that he saw great opportunities in electric cars and expected diesel and battery technology to dominate in the coming five to ten years.
Stadler also stated that Audi's research capacities in terms of the development of lithium-ion batteries were larger than those of its German competitors. "Electric cars offer great opportunities, which we have already seized on," Stadler said without elaborating. Via: Reuters
