The French car group PSA Peugeot Citroen has announced plans to develop a new family of 1.0-litre 3 cylinder petrol engines with power ranging from 70 to 100 Hp. Although neither Citroen nor Peugeot gave any specific details, apparently the most powerful versions of the 3-cylinder unit will be turbocharged. PSA said that the new engine line-up will bring very significant reductions in CO2 consumptions and emissions.
