Hyundai’s RWD Coupe & 2009 Sonata Facelift Scooped

Whereas we we’re happily enjoying Mickey Mouse, Jaws and... ATM machines in Orlando, Florida, our fellow French blogger Clement Vezinhet from “Le Blog Auto” stumbled upon a Hyundai convoy in a parking lot full of 2009 Coupes and 2008 Sonatas during his vacations at the US. Talk about getting lucky… There’s not much to say about the restyled Sonata apart from that it should logically make its debut at the NAIAS Show in January.

And anyway, who cares about a Korean Camry when you have a rear-wheel drive coupe in front of you. From what we’ve gathered up to now, Hyundai’s successor to the Tiburon Coupe will be based on the forthcoming Genesis RWD platform and that it will be offered with a V6 powertain. Notably, there are rumors for a V8 engine but that’s something we cannot confirm. -Check out all the images after the jump
